Started as a club DJ back in the 80’s and have loved seeing people dance to my music ever since.
- 02
As an open format DJ, I am passionate about all dance beats that flow through you and make you move. This includes 60s, Pop, R&B, Dance Rock, House, Hip Hop, Soul/Funk and much more
- 03
I watch the charts posted on various DJ music pools I belong to and also trending in various Spotify playlists.
- 04
I make it a point to ask customers very specific questions about their music choice. I especially like to know the theme of the event. It doesn’t matter if it’s for a small wedding or any celebration. There is no such thing as one-size-fits-all; I have a good grasp on how to blend the right tracks smoothly to keep the energy flowing.
- 05
I like being able to recreate memories through music. Everybody remembers a special time in their life when a song made a big impression; reliving that memory makes it powerful.
- 06
📍I like adding a new beat and more life to an older track a customer is requesting by creating a remix of that track, prior to event night.
📍The trend right now is for more “quick mixing” at events to allow for more tracks and requests to be played, while keeping things flowing smoothly.
- 07
📍I pay close attention to how guests are reacting to the current vibe on the floor, so reading the room is a very key skill DJs need to master.
📍My experience as a DJ allows me to know how to keep the momentum going for a good time.

Being an emcee and making announcements are key aspects of a DJ's skill set; so, the answer is yes. However, I am not a radio DJ, so the announcements will be tailored to the customers wishes.
- 09
I have a vast music library ranging from 60s-70s oldies, 80s-90s, Current Rock, House, Funk/Soul, HipHop, Disco and much more.
I do take requests and will do my best to play all requests. In our consult session(s), I do rely heavily on the playlist submitted from my customers and what they think their friends and family may want to dance to. The same holds true for non-dance events.
- 10
I obviously enjoy keeping guests moving on the floor. Most notably, I am very personable and easily approachable. I’m a true people person.

- 15
Transitioning from one genre to another keeps the vibe alive and fresh which I am experienced with. Having been a club DJ for some years plus current mobile DJ work, it’s a nice way of just switching it up.
- 16
Certainly! That is all part of the whole evening (or daytime) event. Requests for specific songs for cocktail and dinner hour are welcomed.

I like to have a copy of the planned schedule of events showing proposed times and who is doing what.
- 19
Sometimes just a queue from the venue staff as to when lights will be dimmed and when music can start for dancing. Nice to have names of key guests to direct important announcements to.
